The St. Francis Xavier Sports Centre is a world-class multi-use facility jointly developed and funded by the City of Edmonton and Edmonton Catholic Schools. Built next to St. Francis Xavier High School, the sports centre is designed to meet the school’s instructional needs during school hours and the recreation and sport needs of the community during the day, evenings and weekends.

The complex comprises a field house with three FIBA-size basketball courts that can also be used for other sports such as badminton, volleyball and indoor soccer, a three-lane 200-metre indoor jogging and walking track overhanging the field house and large pre-cast concrete bleachers for spectator seating. A mesh cage is also a unique feature to the facility which can be lowered from the ceiling for batting and golf practice.
